SEC Anil Chandra Punetha Holds Video Conference with District Collectors and SPs

Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha held a video conference with district collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) from across the state in Vijayawada, following interim directions issued by the Supreme Court. SEC Secretary Mallikarjuna, Inspector General (IG) Rajakumari and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Madhusudan Reddy also participated in the meeting. The conference focused on incidents reported in 19 municipalities and the cases registered in connection with them.

During the meeting, Punetha sought detailed information on the cases registered in the 19 municipalities and directed the concerned district officials to submit comprehensive reports on the incidents by this evening. The review comes in the wake of the Supreme Court’s interim directions, with the State Election Commission seeking details from the district administrations and police officials. Further action will depend on the reports submitted and the applicable court directions.
