Scuffle Breaks Out Between Congress and BRS Workers

A brief tense situation was reported at the Saroornagar Indoor Stadium during a programme to issue house regularisation certificates under GO No. 118. Slogans raised by supporters of local MLA Devireddy Sudheer Reddy and Congress leader Madhu Yaskhi led to a tense atmosphere. A scuffle broke out between Congress and BRS workers, prompting police to intervene and disperse both groups. The programme was held as the Telangana government began the GO 118 regularisation process on September 19.

Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar and Azharuddin attended the certificate distribution programme. The state government has taken steps to expedite the long-pending regularisation issues under GO 118 in the LB Nagar area. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the process covering 9,792 plots in Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts would be taken forward, with the regularisation process commencing from September 19.
