Renowned economist Jeffrey D. Sachs has predicted that India could emerge as the world’s largest economy by the end of the 21st century. Speaking at a global symposium in Varanasi, Sachs also suggested that India’s population could be twice that of China by 2100. His remarks highlight the country’s potential for long-term economic and demographic growth.
Sachs pointed to the increasing economic influence of Asia and Africa, noting that the global economic order is gradually moving towards a multipolar system. He said no single country or region is likely to dominate the world economy in the future. His observations reflect the possibility of a major shift in global economic power, with India potentially playing a leading role in the decades ahead.
