Russia retaliates with strikes on Ukrainian cities

Ukraine has carried out a long-range drone strike targeting an oil facility in Russia’s Perm region, causing a major fire on Wednesday, according to reports. The site is nearly 1,500 km from the Ukraine border, marking one of Kyiv’s deepest strikes inside Russian territory. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the operation and released a video showing thick black smoke rising over the area. Russia has not provided detailed information on the attack.

Meanwhile, Russia continued retaliatory strikes on Ukrainian civilian areas. Russian authorities said eight people were injured in overnight attacks on the northeastern Kharkiv region, while a 60-year-old woman was killed in Sumy.
