

President Droupadi Murmu congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years in office, describing the milestone as a reflection of the unwavering trust reposed in his leadership by the people of India. She stated that under Modi’s leadership, the country has witnessed rapid progress across various sectors, while several welfare initiatives have ensured that the benefits of development reach even the most marginalized sections of society.
The President highlighted schemes such as PM-JANMAN and Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan as initiatives that hold a special place in her heart due to their focus on tribal welfare and inclusive development. She also expressed confidence that Prime Minister Modi’s vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat would continue to guide the nation toward greater prosperity and progress in the years ahead.
Prime Minister Modi also achieved a historic milestone by becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in consecutive terms. Having assumed office on May 26, 2014, and continuing into his third consecutive term, Modi completed 4,399 days in office, surpassing the record of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who served 4,398 consecutive days as an elected Prime Minister.
