While lifting 100 kg may not be unusual for professional weightlifters, seeing a president bench press the same weight has certainly caught attention. Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh worked out during a visit to a military unit. He removed his suit jacket, lay on the bench and lifted 100 kg. What surprised those around him was that he completed 20 consecutive repetitions. The video has since gone viral on social media, with many praising the president’s strength and fitness.
Khurelsukh, who has served as Mongolia’s president since 2021, previously worked as an officer in the Mongolian military. He is also known for his interest in bodybuilding and martial arts and has been a guitarist in a rock band. He also founded a Harley-Davidson fan club in Mongolia. The viral video has drawn praise for his strength and discipline, although some viewers questioned the weight shown on the bar. Reports, however, stated that he lifted 100 kg.
