

The 98th Academy Awards ceremony was held grandly at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. This year, the film One Battle After Another emerged as the biggest winner, securing the Best Picture award and a total of six Oscars. Meanwhile, the film Sinners, which received a record 16 nominations, managed to win four awards.
Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, One Battle After Another also won awards for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for Anderson, along with Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn. Michael B. Jordan won Best Actor for his performance in Sinners, while Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for Hamnet. The ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien, also witnessed historic moments, including cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw becoming the first woman to win in the cinematography category.
