Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh said that the NDA coalition government's goal is to ensure that no child is deprived of education. Speaking ahead of the release of funds under the 'Talliki Vandanam' scheme, he stated that children are the state's greatest asset and that education is the most valuable investment for the future. The government will begin depositing financial assistance into the bank accounts of eligible mothers from Wednesday.
Lokesh said the scheme has been designed without any restriction on the number of children in a family, ensuring that every eligible student receives the benefit. For the 2026–27 academic year, 67.47 lakh students will benefit, with ₹10,120.78 crore being credited to the bank accounts of 42.70 lakh mothers. The fund transfer process will continue until July 24, and Lokesh expressed his gratitude to every mother supporting her children's education.
