A NEET aspirant from Jalalpur village in Maharashtra's Ahilyanagar district was found dead at her residence in an apparent suicide, police said. According to officials, the incident occurred while her family members were away from home. Relatives who visited the house later found her unresponsive and alerted the authorities. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
During the investigation, police recovered a note believed to have been written by the student. Preliminary findings suggest she had been distressed after falling short of the qualifying cutoff in the NEET re-examination and was worried about achieving her goal of pursuing a medical career. Officials said the investigation is continuing, and they have urged the public to avoid speculation until the inquiry is completed.
