The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned what it described as Houthi attacks targeting the Makkah and Madinah regions. The organisation said attacks that violate the sanctity of holy sites and mosques are unacceptable, warning that such actions create fear among civilians and threaten the security of sacred places.
The OIC described attacks on holy sites, mosques and civilian infrastructure as acts of terrorism and expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia. It also backed measures aimed at protecting the country’s security and sovereignty. Saudi authorities said their air defence systems intercepted a drone approaching Makkah, while the Houthis have denied targeting holy sites.
