MSD Technology Centre Opens in Hyderabad.. Sridhar Babu Makes Key Remarks

Hyderabad’s life sciences sector is entering a new phase, evolving from a manufacturing base into a hub for research, innovation and advanced technology, Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu said. The minister inaugurated a 2.5-lakh-square-foot technology centre established by global biopharmaceutical company MSD in HITEC City on Thursday. The centre will undertake advanced operations across digital, data analytics, artificial intelligence, technology and engineering. MSD will provide technology solutions from Hyderabad to support medical and healthcare research across the world.

Sridhar Babu said Telangana is home to more than 2,000 life sciences companies and that several global firms have launched research, technology and innovation operations in Hyderabad over the past two years. Under the ‘NextGen Life Sciences Policy 2026-30’, the government is developing the entire value chain from discovery and manufacturing to clinical research and technology. A 2,100-acre life sciences zone will be established in Future City, including a 100-acre advanced biologics hub. He said these initiatives would further strengthen Hyderabad as a global life sciences and technology hub.
