

During the Bonalu celebrations of Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar offered the first Bonam to the goddess along with his family and performed special prayers. He said the Ashada month Bonalu festival represents the rich traditions, culture and customs of Telangana. On behalf of the state government, a golden Bonam and silk clothes were offered to the goddess.
The minister prayed for the well-being, prosperity and happiness of the people of Telangana, wishing for good rains and agricultural growth in the state. He said elaborate arrangements were made for the Bonalu festivities in Hyderabad according to public expectations. Highlighting the participation of people beyond caste and religion, he said the government hopes for the blessings of the goddess to protect the state from natural challenges and ensure continued development.
