A medical coding company operating in Nandyal has allegedly duped hundreds of unemployed youth by promising jobs and collecting large sums of money from them. According to the victims, the company collected more than ₹1 lakh from each candidate under the pretext of providing employment opportunities. The firm reportedly employed candidates for a few months and paid salaries initially, creating confidence among recruits before allegedly stopping salary payments and disappearing from operations.
The victims have approached the District Superintendent of Police seeking justice, claiming that more than 700 young men and women from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were affected by the alleged fraud. They stated that the company stopped paying salaries nearly seven months ago, while its management became inaccessible. When the employees recently visited the company's office, they found the premises closed and the business no longer operating. Suspecting a large-scale scam involving crores of rupees, the victims have demanded a thorough investigation and action against those responsible.
