Amaravati: Education Minister Nara Lokesh has issued several directions to district collectors on strengthening the education system. He asked collectors to prepare action plans to achieve cent per cent results in schools and improve pass percentages in board examinations. He also stressed the need to ensure that school buildings remain structurally strong and that construction works meet high-quality standards.
Lokesh said ITIs and polytechnic colleges are being linked with various industries to equip students with skills suited to industry requirements. The Naipunya web portal is also being used to provide young people with employment opportunities and skill-development tools. He said the Education Department is focusing not only on literacy but also on digital and financial literacy. Students are being trained in disaster preparedness and self-protection, while a roadmap is being prepared for curriculum reforms.
