BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) felicitated Telangana-born Uday Nagaraju at a ceremony held in New Delhi to celebrate his election to the UK House of Lords. The event was attended by leaders from various political parties and several states. KTR honoured Nagaraju with a traditional shawl and presented him with a Karimnagar filigree memento. Congratulating him on the achievement, KTR described his rise from grassroots politics in the United Kingdom to the House of Lords as an inspiring example of dedication, public service and perseverance.
KTR praised Uday Nagaraju's contribution to strengthening India-UK relations over the past two decades and expressed confidence that he would play a greater role in promoting trade, investment, business and service-sector partnerships involving Telangana. Speaking at the event, Uday Nagaraju said KTR's political journey—from actively participating in the Telangana movement to serving as a minister and emerging as a nationally recognised leader—had inspired him. He added that KTR's vision and leadership reinforced his belief that educated individuals entering public life can bring meaningful change to society.
