

The Union Cabinet in New Delhi has approved major financial allocations aimed at boosting welfare, agriculture, sports, and infrastructure sectors. A sum of ₹5,070 crore has been allocated for the PM Surya Sarovar Yojana, while a massive ₹3,15,614 crore has been earmarked for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The Cabinet has also decided to extend the PM Kisan scheme till 2030–31, ensuring continued support for farmers across the country.
In addition, ₹36,441 crore has been approved for Khelo India and National Sports Federation schemes to strengthen the sports ecosystem. The Cabinet also sanctioned ₹84,084 crore for the Samudra Manthan programme and ₹9,779 crore for the construction of Queen Tube Tunnels. Overall, the Cabinet has approved a total outlay of ₹4,50,988 crore to drive development and welfare initiatives nationwide.
