Hyderabad traffic police are set to implement a one-way traffic system on roads surrounding Kasu Brahmananda Reddy (KBR) National Park from August 18. The restrictions are linked to ongoing infrastructure works in the KBR Park corridor and are expected to remain in place for nearly two years. Traffic officials have been preparing motorists for the change, with the proposed system aimed at managing congestion and ensuring smoother movement through the busy Jubilee Hills–Banjara Hills stretch.
Google Maps is also being updated to reflect the revised single-direction routes, while a large traffic-policing team will be deployed at key junctions to guide commuters and enforce the new system. Traffic Joint Commissioner Joel Davis has warned that action will be taken against motorists who violate the restrictions. Earlier trials around KBR Park showed smoother traffic flow overall, although officials also identified lane confusion and bottlenecks that needed to be addressed before the full rollout.
