Impact of West Asia Conflict: Project Deadlines Extended

The ongoing West Asia conflict has been officially classified under the Force Majeure clause for real estate projects in Telangana. The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) has taken this decision by treating the situation as equivalent to a “war” under the provisions of the RERA Act, offering relief to developers affected by global disruptions.

In a significant move, TGRERA has extended the registration validity and project completion timelines of eligible real estate projects by four months. This benefit applies to projects with completion deadlines falling on or after February 28, 2026. Developers are not required to submit separate applications or pay additional fees to avail of this extension.
