Heavy to Very Heavy Rains in Telangana…Weather Department Issues Warning!

The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall across several parts of Telangana due to the prevailing weather system. Heavy rainfall is expected in districts including Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu, while an orange alert has been issued for Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Suryapet, Mahabubabad and Jayashankar Bhupalpally. Yellow alerts have also been issued for several districts across the former Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Medak and Nalgonda regions.

Hyderabad is also likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall in several areas, accompanied by gusty winds. The weather department has advised residents to remain alert, avoid standing near electricity poles or under trees, and step out only when necessary. GHMC officials have taken precautionary measures in view of the expected heavy rainfall. Residents have been advised to follow the latest IMD weather warnings and local advisories.
