Heavy Rain Alert: Cyberabad Traffic Police Advise Work From Home, Staggered Office Logouts

The Cyberabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory following the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) forecast of heavy rainfall across Telangana. As a precautionary measure, companies and corporate offices have been urged to implement Work From Home (WFH) wherever feasible. Organisations have also been requested to allow employees to log out in a staggered manner from 2:00 p.m. onwards to reduce peak-hour traffic congestion.

The police said the initiative is aimed at ensuring smooth traffic flow, reducing the risk of road accidents, and facilitating the uninterrupted movement of emergency services during heavy rains. Companies have been asked to share their office locations and staggered logout schedules with the Traffic Police via email. Citizens have also been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and exercise caution while driving during rainfall.
