Heavy Inflows into Srisailam Reservoir.. Water Level Nearing Full Capacity

The water level at the Srisailam reservoir has remained steady, supported by inflows and regulated releases for power generation and downstream projects dependent on Krishna River waters. The decline in flood inflows into the Jurala reservoir has also contributed to stable conditions at Srisailam. As of Sunday evening, Srisailam was receiving an inflow of 36,233 cusecs. The water level stood at 878.60 feet, while storage reached 181.0590 TMC. The reservoir is around six feet short of its full reservoir level.

From Srisailam, 26,093 cusecs are being released to the AP Hydel Power Station, 22,419 cusecs to SLBHES, 1,611 cusecs to Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi, 1,917 cusecs to MGKLI and 8,000 cusecs to the Pothireddypadu reservoir. Meanwhile, inflows into Jurala have declined, prompting authorities to stop water releases through its gates from Sunday morning. Jurala is receiving around 63,000 cusecs, while 43,000 cusecs are being released downstream through hydropower generation.
