Heavy compensation announced for Vizag Steel accident victims

The government has announced ex-gratia relief following the Vizag Steel plant accident. Families of deceased employees will receive ₹25 lakh compensation, while injured workers’ families will be provided ₹10 lakh each as financial assistance.

In addition, affected employees will be allowed to continue residing in company quarters until retirement. The government also assured that educational support for their children will be provided on par with other employees.
