GDG DevFest 2026, organised by Google Developer Group (GDG) Hyderabad, concluded successfully at the JRC Convention and Trade Fairs in Hyderabad, bringing together more than 3,000 students, software developers, engineers, technology professionals, architects and startup founders. The event featured four dedicated tracks covering Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), cloud infrastructure, DevOps and mobile technology. More than 30 industry experts shared their knowledge and practical experiences through technical sessions, live coding demonstrations and discussions on emerging innovations. A key highlight was the unveiling of a Pre-AGI AI avatar of Telangana Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, marking a new approach to using AI technology to enable public interaction with government leadership. The avatar was developed using HumAIn, an enterprise platform created by TensorGo, under the guidance of Saikrishna, technical adviser to the Telangana IT, Electronics and Communications Minister.
Speaking on the theme “Innovation at Scale,” Sridhar Babu highlighted the government’s ambition to position Telangana as a global AI hub and stressed the importance of empowering young innovators. The event’s central theme, “Build, Secure, Scale: Developers and Builders in the Agentic Era,” focused on hands-on learning, modern technology and career opportunities. Rewritable NFC smart badges enabled job seekers to share their digital resumes with recruiters, while organisations including Google for Developers, Logitech, Lyric AI, MetLife and MSI participated in technology showcases and recruitment-related activities. DevFest also promoted environmental responsibility by providing reusable Google-branded water bottles to attendees. GDG Hyderabad, which has been active for 13 years, has connected with more than 200,000 technology enthusiasts and maintains an active community of 20,000 developers. The event served as a platform for skill development, industry networking and career opportunities for aspiring technologists.
