

The Union Cabinet passed a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for becoming the longest serving Prime Minister in India after the first general elections. During the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, ministers gave him a standing ovation and praised his leadership. Modi completed 4,399 days in office, surpassing the previous record of 4,398 days held by Jawaharlal Nehru.
Responding on social media, Modi said that public service is the true test of good governance and that trust is earned through humility, dedication, and commitment. As he completed 12 years as Prime Minister, several national leaders extended their congratulations. Former President Ram Nath Kovind praised the government's achievements and its efforts in strengthening the nation.
Congratulatory messages also poured in from across the world. Anwar Ibrahim commended India's progress in economic, technological, and strategic sectors. Several leaders, including Union ministers, highlighted Modi's 4,399 day journey as a significant chapter in India's development and self reliance.
