Attack ‘Spirit’ If You Can – Pranay Reddy Vanga

Criticism of a film’s story, screenplay and performances after its release is common, but filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brother and producer Pranay Reddy Vanga has sparked a fresh debate with his comments on critics. Reacting to the criticism of his recently released film ‘Romanchakam’, Pranay questioned why small films are easily targeted and challenged critics to take on ‘Spirit’ instead.

Pranay said the difficulties involved in making a film can only be understood after entering production. His remarks, particularly his statement asking critics to “attack ‘Spirit’ if they can”, have gone viral on social media. The challenge has drawn attention as ‘Spirit’ is one of the most anticipated Indian films, starring Prabhas and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

‘Spirit’ has already generated huge expectations because of the combination of Prabhas’ pan-India stardom and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s intense filmmaking style. Prabhas is expected to play a powerful police officer in the crime-action drama, which is scheduled for release on March 5, 2027. With the film expected to carry an intense adult tone and an A certificate, Pranay’s comments have added further curiosity about whether ‘Spirit’ will silence its critics after release.
