Kinnerasani Wildlife Sanctuary near Palvancha in Bhadradri Kothagudem district has taken another major step towards tourism development. As part of efforts to transform Kinnerasani into a prominent state level tourist destination, the Forest Department has introduced modern safari vehicles. These vehicles are set to be dedicated to the public during the state-level Vanamahotsavam celebrations. Officials believe the new safari services will strengthen tourism infrastructure and provide a significant boost to the sanctuary’s future growth.
Known for its scenic landscapes, dense forests, rare wildlife, and diverse bird species, Kinnerasani has already emerged as a favorite destination for nature lovers. The newly introduced safari vehicles will allow visitors to explore the forest more closely and safely, enhancing their overall experience. This initiative is expected to increase the sanctuary’s popularity among tourists from across the state and neighboring regions.
The government has been implementing several eco-tourism development projects in Kinnerasani, including trekking route development, a butterfly park, cement road construction, feed storage facilities, and improved visitor amenities. Officials expect the safari services to generate additional employment opportunities for local youth and benefit small businesses, hotels, transport operators, and tourism related families. The initiative is being viewed as a key step towards establishing Kinnerasani as one of the state's leading eco-tourism destinations.
