CtrlS Datacenters, a hyperscale data centre operator in India, has raised ₹250 crore in fresh capital from prominent entrepreneurs. Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath has invested ₹200 crore in the company, while entrepreneur Sreeram Reddy Vanga has contributed ₹50 crore. The latest funding comes at a time when demand for data centre capacity is accelerating due to the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence, cloud computing and other digital workloads.
The company plans to deploy the fresh capital towards expanding its data centre infrastructure and increasing capacity across India. Founded in 2007, CtrlS currently operates 19 data centres across nine markets, with more than 370 MW of capacity. The company also has projects representing around 4.4 GW of capacity under development, highlighting its expansion plans amid India's growing digital infrastructure requirements.
