Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi and sought speedy approvals for several key infrastructure projects in the state. Highlighting that 95% of the land acquisition for the northern stretch of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) has already been completed, the Chief Minister requested the Centre to obtain Union Cabinet approval and commence work immediately. He said simultaneous execution of both the northern and southern stretches would reduce construction costs and ensure faster completion.
The Chief Minister also requested immediate approvals for the RRR southern section, the Hyderabad-Amaravati Greenfield Highway, and a 12-lane highway connecting Bharat Future City to Bandar Port via Amaravati, stating that it would reduce the Hyderabad-Vijayawada travel distance by nearly 100 kilometres and improve cargo transportation. He further sought support for forest clearances for the Mannanur-Srisailam Elevated Corridor and approval for a six-lane Hyderabad-Mancherial highway as an alternative to Rajiv Rahadari. Nalgonda MP Raghuveer and senior officials also attended the meeting.
