Alert on Online Frauds.. PM Modi Issues Key Directives to Officials

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed cases related to cyber fraud and “digital arrest” scams and stressed the need for sustained public-awareness campaigns. He called for special attention to senior citizens, youth and other vulnerable groups who may be targeted by online fraudsters. The Prime Minister emphasised educating people about common warning signs of scams and promoting safe digital practices to help them identify and avoid fraudulent activities.

Modi also called for regular training and capacity-building of personnel dealing with cybercrime. He stressed the need to keep law-enforcement teams prepared to identify and respond swiftly to emerging methods of cyber fraud. With digital scams becoming increasingly sophisticated, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts and continuous preparedness to strengthen cyber security and protect citizens.
