Centre Likely to Form High-Level Panel to Recommend NEET Reforms

The Central Government is reportedly considering the formation of a high-level committee to recommend reforms in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The proposed panel is expected to comprise 10 Vice-Chancellors from leading universities, who will review the examination system and suggest measures to improve its overall functioning.

The committee is likely to focus on enhancing transparency, security, and examination management while strengthening the credibility of the NEET process. Based on its recommendations, the Centre is expected to take key policy decisions aimed at ensuring a more robust, fair, and efficient medical entrance examination system in the near future.
