Bhatti Issues Key Directions on Rajiv Yuva Vikasam

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has directed officials to take steps to provide financial assistance of up to ₹1 lakh to beneficiaries under the first phase of the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme from November 19 for setting up self-employment units. He held a review meeting on SC and ST welfare with Minister Adluri Laxman and senior officials at Praja Bhavan. The meeting reviewed welfare schemes, Gurukul institutions, educational infrastructure, self-employment initiatives, scholarships and study circles. Bhatti instructed officials to receive Rajiv Yuva Vikasam applications at government offices and conduct the beneficiary selection process transparently in the presence of district Collectors.

The meeting also discussed the proposal to establish centralised mechanised kitchens in Gurukul institutions. Officials were asked to prepare a report on the social and economic status of students who studied over the past decade at Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur Public School and welfare educational institutions. Bhatti also directed officials to study the introduction of new degree courses in line with industry requirements. Meanwhile, he stressed the importance of cooperation between Telangana and Karnataka in developing the bioenergy sector. Discussions with Karnataka State Bioenergy Development Board Chairman S.E. Sudheendra focused on investment opportunities, technology exchange and the development of an environment-friendly and sustainable energy system.
