Allegations of financial irregularities involving donation funds at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir have sparked widespread attention. According to reports, two temple employees have been detained for questioning in connection with an alleged misappropriation of nearly ₹7 crore from temple donations. The investigation reportedly intensified after authorities found that the employees had purchased properties worth approximately ₹1.5 crore and ₹40 lakh despite drawing annual salaries of only ₹18,000 to ₹20,000.
Officials are also reported to have recovered around ₹10 lakh in cash from the residence of one of the employees during searches. The significant disparity between their declared income and acquired assets reportedly raised suspicions, prompting a detailed inquiry. Authorities are examining financial records and property transactions to determine the source of the funds and ascertain whether temple donation money was misused.
