The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is expected to issue a short notification on September 15 for the recruitment of posts announced under the state’s Job Calendar. The notification will include details of vacancies, application dates and examination schedules, while the detailed notification, covering the syllabus, reservation roster and other recruitment guidelines, is likely to be released in the first week of October. The age limit will be calculated as on July 1. Candidates who have recently completed their education can register through One-Time Registration (OTR), while those who have acquired additional qualifications can update their existing details. The state government has also issued orders revising the Group-1 post list, resolving most of the technical issues related to the recruitment process.
The revised Group-1 list includes several changes, with the total number of posts potentially rising from 149 to 167 after adding Adult Education Assistant Director/Project Officer and District Educational Officer posts, among others. The Deputy Collector and DSP posts have been designated as multi-zone posts, while cadres in various departments have been revised in line with the Presidential Orders. The MPDO post has been removed from the Group-1 list, while the Divisional Development Officer has replaced the District Panchayat Officer post and the District Fire Officer post has replaced the Divisional Fire Officer post. APPSC is also planning to conduct Group-1 and Group-2 examinations manually, while other recruitment examinations may be held online. The commission is studying normalization for online exams and is considering the system to reduce the possibility of malpractice such as paper leaks.
