AP Weather Alert: Low-Pressure Area Over North Bay of Bengal

A low-pressure area has formed over the North Bay of Bengal, triggering a weather alert for several parts of Andhra Pradesh. According to the weather forecast, many districts are likely to receive rainfall today and tomorrow. Moderate to heavy rain is expected in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Manyam and Alluri Sitharama Raju districts. Light to moderate showers are likely in Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, West Godavari and Krishna districts.

Gusty winds are also expected along parts of the coast, with wind speeds likely to reach 40–50 kmph. In view of the rough weather conditions, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea for fishing. Authorities are monitoring the weather system and its possible impact on coastal areas.
