The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) report on the electoral rolls in Andhra Pradesh has been released, revealing a significant number of irregularities in the voter database. According to the report, 44.89 lakh voter entries were found without valid addresses, raising concerns over the accuracy of the electoral rolls.
The report also identified 15.22 lakh votes belonging to deceased persons, 14.43 lakh voters who have permanently migrated, and 7.37 lakh duplicate voter entries with names registered in more than one location. Officials have announced that the draft electoral roll will be published on July 31 for further verification and public scrutiny.
