Andhra Voter Verification Survey Flags Major Electoral Irregularities in Kadapa, Kurnool, Tirupati

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Andhra Pradesh has revealed a significant concentration of untraceable or absent voters in a handful of constituencies. Of the 7,77,885 voters identified as untraceable across the state's 175 Assembly constituencies, as many as 1,11,027 (14.27%) belong to Kadapa, Kurnool, Tirupati, Chandragiri and Nellore Rural. While the statewide average of untraceable voters stands at 1.87%, the percentage is considerably higher in Kadapa (11.16%), Kurnool (7.72%), Tirupati (6.95%), Nellore Rural (6.48%) and Chandragiri (6.15%), indicating unusual voter distribution patterns.

The survey also found that Panyam has the highest number of duplicate voter entries in the state, followed by Kurnool, Anantapur Urban, Penamaluru and Nellore City. Tirupati recorded the highest number of permanently migrated voters, with 57,256 out of 2,95,288 voters (19.39%) identified as having shifted permanently, far above the state average of 3.47%. Rampachodavaram reported the highest percentage of deceased voters still present in electoral rolls, followed by Araku, Ichchapuram, Paderu and Kovur. Additionally, the Election Commission has listed 44,89,488 voters (10.78%) across the state for deletion, with Tirupati, Kurnool, Kadapa, Nellore Rural and Guntur West accounting for a substantial share. Chandragiri also topped the state in "No Mapping" cases, where voter details could not be linked to previous electoral records, raising further questions over electoral roll accuracy.
