Women Powering India's Business Landscape

The 2026 Candere Hurun India Women Leaders List was released on Thursday, recognizing the most influential women across India’s business, industrial, and corporate sectors. A total of 117 women featured in this year's list, marking a 21% increase from 97 women last year. The combined enterprise value, market capitalization, and wealth of the organizations led by these women stand at nearly ₹39 lakh crore, exceeding the GDP of Finland. The report also expanded its categories from nine to twelve this year.

The report highlighted that 84% of the women on the list are self made leaders. In the Wealth Multipliers category, HCLTech Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra secured the top position with a net worth of ₹2.84 lakh crore. Hindustan Unilever CEO and Managing Director Priya Nair ranked first in the Professional CEO category, leading a company valued at ₹5.06 lakh crore.

Apollo Hospitals' Preetha Reddy and Suneeta Reddy jointly topped the Veterans category, with their group valued at over ₹1.21 lakh crore. ReNew Power Co-founder Vaishali Nigam Sinha led the New Economy category, representing a company worth ₹22,230 crore. The average age of the women featured in the list is 48 years, with ages ranging from 19 to 86.
