YouTube has permanently banned two channels Screen Culture (India-based) and KH Studio (Georgia-based) for posting misleading AI-generated fake movie trailers. According to reports, both channels used AI-created visuals mixed with official footage to produce deceptive trailers aimed at gaining views. Earlier, YouTube had already suspended ads on these channels for violating policies related to misleading content and synthetic media disclosure, but repeated violations led to a complete ban.
The ban was first reported by Deadline and later confirmed as the channels no longer appear in YouTube search results, with their URLs showing an unavailable page. Together, the two channels had over two million subscribers and more than a billion views. YouTube enforces strict rules against deceptive thumbnails, titles, and footage, and requires creators to clearly disclose realistically altered or AI-generated content.
YouTube spokesperson Jack Malon stated that although the channels were briefly reinstated into the YouTube Partner Program after making corrections, they later reverted to violating spam and misleading metadata policies. After ad suspension, the channels temporarily labeled videos as “fan trailers” or “parodies” to regain monetisation, but later removed these disclosures, resulting in a repeat offense ban. Screen Culture founder Nikhil P. Chaudhari admitted to employing over 10 editors and using rapid uploads to exploit YouTube’s algorithm.
