WhatsApp Rolls Out New Group Features

WhatsApp has introduced a range of new features to enhance the group chat experience. Users can now create timed polls, allowing them to set a closing time after which voting is automatically locked. Poll creators can also choose to hide participant details, making responses visible only to the creator. Additionally, polls can be edited within 15 minutes of being created, offering greater flexibility.

The messaging platform has also introduced the @all mention feature, enabling group admins to notify every member with a single tag. This feature is currently available for groups with more than 32 members. Even users who have muted the group will receive notifications for @all mentions unless they disable those alerts separately. Another new addition allows users to create a new group instantly with selected members from an existing group, making it easier to organise discussions or plan surprise events.
