Elon Musk-led SpaceXAI has introduced Grok Voice Think Fast 2.0, describing it as the company's most advanced voice AI model yet. The new version succeeds Grok Voice Think Fast 1.0, which was launched globally in April, and will automatically become the default model for users from August 5, unless they choose to remain on the older version. Priced at $0.08 per minute of audio processing, the latest model offers significant improvements in speech reasoning, transcription accuracy, conversational intelligence, and tool-use reliability. According to the company, A/B testing on the Starlink platform also showed notable improvements in customer support efficiency and sales conversions.
SpaceXAI claims that Grok Voice Think Fast 2.0 outperformed OpenAI's GPT-Realtime-2.1 and Google's Gemini 3.1 Flash across several benchmark tests. The model achieved an 82.9% score on the AA Speech-to-Speech Quality Index, ahead of its competitors, and recorded 97.2% in the Big Bench Audio Speech Reasoning test. However, OpenAI's GPT-Realtime-2.1 narrowly led in the Full Duplex Bench Conversational Dynamics evaluation with a 95.7% score, compared to Grok's 95.1%. The company believes the latest upgrade will deliver a faster, smarter, and more natural voice AI experience.
