

Redmi has launched two new smartphones in its Note 17 series in India — the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The company is targeting users who want long battery life, with the two models packing 9,000mAh and 10,000mAh batteries respectively. Both smartphones feature 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. They also come with IP66, IP68 and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor. It features a 50MP primary camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front camera. The phone packs a 10,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. The Pro Max starts at ₹49,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, while the 12GB+256GB model is priced at ₹55,999. It will be available on Amazon from September 23. The Redmi Note 17 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and features a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera and 16MP selfie camera. Its 9,000mAh battery supports 67W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. Prices start at ₹36,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, while the 8GB+256GB model costs ₹39,999. It will go on sale through Amazon from September 17. Select SBI, Axis Bank and IDFC Bank cardholders can avail themselves of instant discounts of up to ₹5,000, while HDB Financial Services customers can get cashback of up to ₹5,000, according to the company.
