India handed fast bowler Yash Thakur his international debut in the second T20I against Zimbabwe at Harare. The 27 year old replaced Ashok Sharma, who featured in the first T20I, earning a place in the playing XI. Following his debut, cricket fans have been eager to know more about the Vidarbha pacer.
Born in Kolkata in 1998, Yash Thakur represents Vidarbha in domestic cricket and has impressed across all formats. He has taken 69 wickets in 48 T20s, 54 wickets in 37 List A matches, and 67 wickets in 22 First Class games. Currently with Punjab Kings in the IPL after previously playing for Lucknow Super Giants, Yash considers Jasprit Bumrah his role model and is known for his effective bowling in the death overs.
