

Indian badminton star Lakshya Sen is on a remarkable run at the Australian Open, extending his stunning form with yet another top-class performance. Sen stormed into the finals after defeating World No.6 Chou Tien Chen in a thrilling three-game semifinal clash.
Saturday’s semifinal turned out to be a nail-biter from start to finish. Sen lost the first game 17–21, struggling to find his rhythm. But he bounced back brilliantly in the second game, where the lead exchanged hands multiple times. Showing exceptional composure in the final moments, Sen sealed the game 24–22 to level the match.
With the scores tied 1–1, Sen shifted gears in the decider. He dominated right from the start, maintaining control throughout and finishing strong with a 21–16 win. The match lasted 86 intense minutes, showcasing Sen’s remarkable fighting spirit and grit.
He now heads into the final showdown on Sunday, where he will face Japan’s Yushi Tanaka. This is Sen’s second final of the year — he previously finished as runner-up at the Hong Kong Open.
