PCB Chief Makes Interesting Remarks on Team’s Failures

Amid a deepening crisis in Pakistan cricket, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi sought to defend his team’s recent failures by referring to defeats suffered by other strong sides. Pakistan faced back-to-back Test defeats against England, prompting major changes ahead of the third Test. Seven players were dropped, while coaches Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul were also removed, drawing widespread criticism.

In a recent interview, Naqvi said even strong teams can suffer unexpected defeats and that such results are a natural part of cricket. He cited South Africa’s loss to Namibia and India’s defeat against Ireland as examples. Naqvi said Pakistan would bring in players who are needed by the team but would not continue with those who repeatedly fail to perform. He also stressed that every match and every series remains important for Pakistan.
