India has secured another medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, continuing its impressive campaign. In the women's 51kg boxing event, Sakshi Chaudhary guaranteed at least a bronze medal by defeating Caitlin Fryers of Northern Ireland with a dominant 5-0 unanimous decision in the quarter-finals. The victory propelled Sakshi into the semi-finals, ensuring India another podium finish.
Sakshi dominated all three rounds with sharp punches and quick movement, leaving her opponent with little chance to respond. She will now face Amber-Jane Wall of Canada in the semi-final for a place in the final. Meanwhile, Indian boxers Arundhati Chaudhary, Sachin Siwach, Ankush Yadav, and Narender Berwal are also set to compete in their respective quarter-final bouts, raising hopes of more medals for India.
