Team India has named four promising young spinners as net bowlers for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, beginning on August 15. The team management selected Vipraj Nigam, Tanush Kotian, Harsh Dubey, and Shivang Kumar to help Indian batters prepare for the spin-friendly conditions expected in Sri Lanka. The quartet travelled with the Indian squad on Monday and will assist the players during practice sessions.
Vipraj Nigam recently impressed while representing India A in the tri-series held in Sri Lanka. The main squad already includes experienced spin bowlers Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, along with Manav Suthar and Saransh Jain. Before the Test series, India will play a three-day warm-up match against Sri Lanka XI in Colombo from August 7. The first Test will begin in Galle on August 15, while the second Test is scheduled in Colombo from August 23.
