India Complete Asia Cup Hat-Trick with Gold Medal Triumph

India’s women’s junior hockey team clinched the gold medal at the Asia Cup Junior Hockey Tournament after defeating China 1-0 in the final. The match, held in China, saw Sanika Chandrakant Mane score the only goal in the 17th minute to seal victory for India. With this triumph, the Indian team secured its third consecutive Asia Cup title.

India had won its maiden title in the 2023 edition after defeating South Korea and followed it up by beating China in the 2024 edition. The latest Asia Cup triumph has also secured India’s place in the Junior World Cup. Hockey India announced cash rewards for the title-winning squad, with each player set to receive Rs 3 lakh, while every member of the support staff will be awarded Rs 1.5 lakh.
