The International Cricket Council (ICC) officially unveiled the brand identity for the 2027 ICC Men's ODI Cricket World Cup at a grand ceremony in Johannesburg. The tournament, which will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, marks the return of the ODI World Cup to the African continent after a gap of nearly 24 years. The event introduced the theme "Make the Circle Bigger," inspired by the African philosophy of Ubuntu—"I am because we are"—and a traditional woven basket symbolising unity, hospitality and togetherness. Cricket legends including Graeme Smith, Makhaya Ntini, Hashim Amla, Temba Bavuma, Kagiso Rabada, Hamilton Masakadza and Rudolf Janse van Vuuren attended the launch.

The 2027 World Cup will be played across 12 venues in the three host nations, with Namibia hosting World Cup matches for the first time in its history. A total of 14 teams will compete in 57 matches under a newly introduced three-stage format. The tournament will begin with a Super Series involving the lower-ranked teams, followed by a group stage featuring 12 teams. The top seven teams will advance to the Super 7 stage before the top four qualify for the semi-finals. ICC Chairman Jay Shah expressed confidence that the tournament would showcase Africa's rich sporting culture and warm hospitality to cricket fans around the world.
