Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka has heaped praise on teenage cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, describing him as a rare and exceptional talent. Speaking on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Goenka said IPL franchise owners regret missing out on the youngster. Rajasthan Royals signed Sooryavanshi for ₹1.10 crore at the 2025 IPL auction.
Goenka highlighted Sooryavanshi’s natural ability, quality cricketing shots and strong confidence as some of his biggest strengths. He also noted that the youngster maintains confidence without allowing it to become overconfidence. With Lakshmi Mittal now the primary owner of Rajasthan Royals, Goenka believes the franchise is unlikely to let Sooryavanshi leave. He added that if the teenager ever became available, several IPL franchises would be interested in signing him.
