ESPN co-founder Bill Rasmussen has died at the age of 93. ESPN announced that Rasmussen passed away on Tuesday at his home in Florida following complications related to Parkinson’s disease.
Rasmussen, along with his son Scott, played a key role in launching ESPN in 1979. The network went on to become the world’s first 24-hour television sports network and transformed the way sports were broadcast and consumed globally. Rasmussen’s contribution to sports media has left a lasting legacy in the broadcasting industry.
